This is a fictitous paint in the colors of the United States Coast Guard. The only real Coast Guard versions of the YS-11 are operated by the Japan Coast Guard. ( This version is available as a separate download.)
As a big fan of AFG's YS-11, I wanted a version of the plane in colors that were more appropriate to be flying around the region I live in, the Great Lakes Basin. Although YS-11's operated throughout the region in the past, ( for Piedmont and Airborne Express mostly,) there were no paints which one could call "contemporary." That was the impetus behind this repaint.
